Conditions
Applicants are eligible for a low-income household grant for a pupil enrolled full-time or in concurrent education and in receipt of family allowances if they:
• live with the pupil for whom they are applying
• have parental authority over the pupil in question or
• are part of a household whose monthly net income is below the low-income threshold at the time of application (see social index tables below)
Procédure
The application must be renewed each year using the form which is available from the secondary school’s SePAS or can be downloaded from this page. A separate application must be submitted for each eligible pupil.
All applications, with all the required documents, must be submitted to the SePAS by 31 October of each school year.
Payment
If approved, the grant will be paid into the applicant’s bank account at the end of April of the school year.
The grant for low-income households is awarded to the household on the basis of a social index that depends on the composition of the household and the household’s monthly net income (average of the last three months preceding the application). It varies between €713.19 and €1,069.79/pupil/year (index 944.43).
The grant also gives the right to one hot meal a day at the school canteen.
